Inspection requires a combination of skills and techniques which cut across the lines
between architecture, building, contracting and engineering. The inspector must have
a broad range of general knowledge in building, design and the mechanical trades
in order to recognize conditions which may affect the future life of a home.
Robert Drennan is well versed in all fields of construction. A licensed general contractor
and designer/builder for 20+ years in New England, his special areas of expertise
were historic and period restoration and reproduction, along with energy-efficient
new homes. He holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License: #CS 047737.
In addition, Mr. Drennan held A Home Improvement Contractors License, issued from
the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards, Registration number:
111730 and The State of Connecticut, Dep. of Consumer Protection, Home Improvement
Contractor License, Registration Number: 531867.
Previously, he worked in engineering and manufacturing, in the fields of nuclear
data acquisition, aircraft instrumentation and motorcycle and engine manufacturing.
Robert has completed both the "ASHI" and the Carson, Dunlop & Associates,
Home Inspection Training Courses. He has also successfully completed the "ASHI"
examination requirements. Robert is a Full ASHI Member
and he holds a Home Inspector's License from the States of Connecticut
(#HOI.142), Massachusetts (#221)
and North Carolina
